We would all like our children to breathe clean air but especially in school, we believe children deserve to be surrounded by clean air while they are learning. This is why we’re raising money to fund the purchase and operation of 30 air purifiers at Burley Oaks Primary School.

Indoor air quality directly affects our children in school. Research shows that:

  • Children are especially vulnerable to the effects of airborne pollution.
  • These effects include reduced concentration and cognitive performance as well as asthma and respiratory conditions.
  • Diseases like Covid and Flu also spread through indoor air.
  • Infection often leads to absence from school and hours of missed learning.

Air purifiers will provide the opportunity for us to significantly improve the air quality in the classroom environment by reducing indoor pollutants by 36%, reduce airborne viruses in of the air and break the chains of disease transmission by over 80%, thus helping to reduce the spread of diseases like Covid and Flu*.
