Two large high schools and a primary school in Warrington have started their clean air journeys thanks to significant support from local companies and also academic institutions. Staff and students at Bridgewater High School, Sir Thomas Boteler, and St Wilfrids CE Primary School are now enjoying cleaner safer air.

A large multinational company helped fund the parts needed to build Corsi-Rosenthal Boxes, and the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) provided academic input to the research, particularly involving their data modeling analysts.

Another local tech company is interested in working with the schools on monitoring all aspects of the indoor air, as the awareness of the importance of air quality is gained and the air cleaning devices are introduced.

The National Education Union (NEU) has also expressed support for the project and is raising awareness within schools amongst teachers and Heads.

Both high schools used their STEM club to run the project and linked it to potential careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Bridgewater have linked the project to their work with 4wardFutures. Boteler ran the project as part of their CREST Awards - a nationally recognised scheme for student-led project work in the STEM subjects.
